Manufacturing process

Aluminium profiles of standard and special shapes are manufactured using extrusion technology.

• The extrusion process is carried out on presses with compression strength of 1,900 tones, 2,000 tones, 2,000 tones and 3,500 tones from billets of 7” and 9” diameter.
  
• The shape of the profile depends of the matrix and maximum possible dimensions: in case of 1,900 tones and 2,000 tones presses, it is as follows: width: 190 mm, height: 140 mm; for the 3,500 tones press, it is as follows: width: 400 mm, height: 260 mm
  
• The profiles can be characterised with raw surface, prepared for lacquering or anodising

Alloys grades used in the profiles manufacturing process:

Series EN AW: 1xxx, 6xxx
Series 1xxx: EN AW-1050A in grades F, O, H111, H112.
Series 6xxx: EN AW-6060, EN AW-6063, EN AW-6005A, EN AW-6082, EN AW-6061, EN AW-6106 in grades: T4, T64, T6, T66

Production standard

• Standard profiles: round, square and rectangular bars, U-sections, angles, T-profiles, I-sections, round, rectangular and square pipes;
  
• Special profiles: for polycarbonates, advertisements, coffers, transport, construction, as well as acc. to the client’s design.
  

Controlled quality features

Chemical composition, mechanical properties (Rm, Rp0,2, A, hardness, compression to 250 kN)
Tolerances on dimensions and shape, roughness
As a standard, tolerances on dimensions and shapes acc. to standards EN 755-3 to -9 are used. At the request of the client, standard EN 12020-0 (for alloys EN AW- 6060, 6063) is applied, or tolerances are agreed mutually with the client.

Packaging

Packaging method:

For special profiles (acc. to arrangements with the client): up to 1500 kg
For standard profiles: up to 1200 kg
Standard profiles are packed into a wooden box or in small stretch wrapped packages, separated with a paper or separators, secured outside with a cardboard or stretch foil.
It is possible to arrange special packaging manner at the request of the client.

Identification:

The product label includes: Eurometal/Client no., material cast no., alloy and thermal processing grade, packaging no., client’s order, weight, quantity.
Product identification can be arranged acc. to individual arrangements or acc. to VDA standard.

Production capacity

Cutting
The range of cutting length is 8-5,000 mm with tolerances depending on the dimensions of profiles and the cutting length. We keep the cutting repeatability within the scope of tolerances up to +/-0.05 mm. We perform cutting within the range of cutting angles from 45° to 135°.
Cutting with milling
We offer cutting for round profiles with simultaneous milling at any range of angles.  This procedure is offered for lengths from 20 to 320 mm and the diameter of Φ12- 81mm.
The procedure is carried out on special automatic machines, thanks to which we can  obtain high capacity while maintaining full repeatability on the product.
Turning
Our company is equipped with a high capacity numeric lathe thanks to which we can  process small elements with a diameter of Ø200 and a length of 330 mm.
Milling, drilling, threading
3- and 4-axle numeric milling machines as well as CNCs in our machine park enable us to perform various milling procedures with high precision and in a wide range of dimensions of processed elements.

CONTROLLED QUALITY FEATURES

Thanks to the implementation of modern and innovative solutions, we can automatically control the length of manufactured small elements in the course of the production process. What is more, our internal laboratory controls: tolerances on dimensions and shapes, the quality of surface, roughness, and mechanical properties.

Packaging

Packaging method:
Small elements are packed in a packaging with weight of up to 1500 kg maximum.
Products can be packed in cardboards, wooden boxes, metal boxes, Eurogitter boxes, and acc. to the client’s instructions.
Identification:
The product label includes: Eurometal/Client no., material cast no., alloy and thermal processing grade, packaging no., client’s order, weight, quantity.
Product identification can be arranged acc. to individual arrangements or acc. to VDA standard.
